The 2 Bandits Gold & Black Leather 'Riders' $70 (Per Pair)

Your boots called – they’re bored. They have never been a hotter commodity, yet you continually pile all the jewelry and accessories onto yourself and…ignore them. It’s redemption time for you and your tired boots, because Riders from The 2 Bandits are in the hizzay, and they are amazing! Allow me to clarify: /RYE-derz/ n. Boot harness with brass chains and fine black latigo leather. Adjustable. Sold as a pair. $70. (Boots not included.) You with me? Good, because there’s more.

Founders Erica Chan and Tamar Wider started out making these excellent Bandits to embellish the tops of the boot shaft (I like the studded Edie version, in brown), and eventually branched out to Riders for Fall 2009. How much do I love them? A ton. When The 2 Bandits generously agreed to team up with LASM for a giveaway, how badly did I want to ditch you guys and keep them? Very badly – but I dig you, so here’s your chance to win a pair of black and gold Riders worth seventy bucks, and make your blah boots brilliant! To enter, leave a comment on this post with a brief description of your lame-ass boots that are in desperate need of Riders embellishment. Whoever has the neediest boots? Wins! (P.S. For those of you who can’t wait to see if they’ve won? The 2 Bandits has FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING!)

All comments must be received by the end of the giveaway on Wednesday November 25th, at 11:59 EST. The winner will be chosen at random, notified via e mail, and announced on L.A. Stylist Mom shortly thereafter. Open to U.S. residents only.

My only pair of boots is a pair I got at Famous Footwear for $15. These would be a whole new style of living for me!

  2. Samantha says:

I LOVE my boots they are black and zip up the side. I have owned them for a decade and not only that but I have worn them about everyday for ten years! They are worn down now and everyone around me says that they are too plain for my unique personality but they are so dear to my heart I cannot bare to buy new ones in their place. This would be perfect to spice them up and keep them in the family for as long as possible!

  3. I really really want these! I’m obsessed with embellishments on shoes right now and have been working so much on adding them to our EL process, that I have been majorly neglecting my own kicks. I have a pair of plain black, chunky heel boots that are a match made in heaven for these. I wear them so much (kinda like my default shoes when I’m too busy to look for another pair) that they don’t excite me anymore. These would be perfect to spice things up a bit. :)

  4. Alesha says:

My boots are so ugly my husband asked me why I was still wearing my halloween costume in November! They need some help, these would be perfect.

    thanks!

I have a pair of black, old, boring suede boots these would jazz up nicely.
My boots will be crossing their fingers!

  7. I have a pair of black suede boots that are so plain and boring, I don’t even wear them. I was thinking of giving them away, but these nifty little things might just be exactly what they need! I’d love to give them a try.

P.S. I am TOTALLY loving the Stirrupz I won here a few weeks ago. Not silly at ALL!

  8. trin says:

My pair of old justin’s are overworked and never paid. They need a makeover.

  9. DG says:

I have Uggs. I pair of worn out big ol’ soled Uggs. Please feel my pain :)

  10. Ellen Petty says:

I need these to go with my new Newport News boots!

  11. Jennifer says:

OMG! I have been DYING for a pair of these! I have even considered trying to make myself a pair but I do not have a DIY bone in my body! I have been begging my husband for the coach aida boots for xmas so if I won these, I could make my own!!! Please Please Please pick me!!! Thank you!!!

  12. My boots are so boring that when I take them to dinner, they just order the soup.

My boots are so boring, that the last good movie they saw was Watching Paint Dry.

My boots are so boring that they, eh…

    You get it, right?

    BORING.

Black, dull, scuffed, uninteresting toe shape, lowish heel, mannish-looking, but not in that good Frye way, and un-hip to the max degree.

I need to sex up my boots.

    Can I haz Riders ples?

  13. Kerianne says:

I’ve had these black boots for about 5 years, and with me living in the city they have just become so worn out and dull. These bandits would definitely spice up my old favorite boots so that I can wear them again without shame.

  14. I have a pair of really boring black patent booties, that are craving some detail. They are just not fab enough for me as it is… Bandits would solve my problem with them! :)

  15. I think I need to buy a pair of lame ass boots just so I can score these! HOT! I especially need the Fleetwood model.

  16. My cherished brown scuffed up lonely brown boots which I’ve had for a terrible 7 years now need a deperate makeover. Love them cuz they are worn in and creases all in the right places, but can’t stand that people have been seeing my boots for years. The RIDERS will be the PERFECT match for my boots that I’ll be sure to rock!

  17. Luff Singer says:

Ok- you ready to grab your tissues??? My boots are so pathedic that Rosanne called and said I should take my 1990 imitation doc marten clunkers I call boots and take a hike. No seriously, why do my boots have off terrain threads for soles? I live in a climate that doesnt even snow, more or less need an off terrain grips. My boots are so desperate for a pair of these hot rocker Rider Bandits they are basically screaming wif pain.

Please heal this embarassment I call my only pair of boots.

    Much Much appreciated.

    Luff
