Calypso’s 10 Days Of Style!

Allow me to start with a disclaimer: 1) I know this is an ad 2) I’m not suggesting that you run out to Calypso St. Barth and spend a fortune on everything in this photo. Now then – let’s begin. This? Genius. Well-played Calypso marketing department! *clap clap clap* Bookmark it, because I couldn’t have put it together any better, and although it’s touted as ‘the art of packing light,’ this could very well be the only cheat-sheet you need for the rest of the long, hot summer.

These pieces are light, current, interchangeable and forgiving. This kind of summery, European-style dressing is not only unbelievably chic without trying too hard, it’s also crazy comfortable and easy to put together – the pieces are the equivalent of Garanimals for grown-ups! It’s exactly the type of mix-and-match dressing that will stretch a few simple pieces into multiple outfits, with the help of some current accessories to make these gauzy staples feel even more relevant.

Whether you choose from items you already have in your wardrobe, or use these picks as a guideline to look for the cheaper versions (i.e. linen pants, light sweaters and sheer tees in neutral colors), this my friends is a succinct summary of what I believe the perfect summer wardrobe looks like. And those clog sandals are mine…

oooh love this. glad to have this as a guide for putting together outfits. i know what i like as far as separates, but i’m no good at putting things together- makes for bad wardrobe planning! this should help.

  2. So, I’ve come back to this ‘look’ again and again. Really wanting to capture this idea for the summer. I have been picking up similar pieces to these at bargain prices. Some at H&M, F21, JCrew and Old Navy…just some basics. 2 pairs of linen pants; one in slate, one in white to throw together with simple, basic tees and tanks with sexy, strap-y sandals for impromptu nights out when I want my jewelry to take center stage.

Thanks again for this ‘look’ idea. I feel like you styled me. ;)

I love white. Too bad I spill all over myself, all the time. Next post should be on how to get red wine out of white linen.
