Jillybean Green makes my heart beat fast. It’s like all the kid stuff I scour the web for, loaded into one happy little spot. And it’s fun to say (you know you just said it). Created by an L.A. mom who adores both her kids and the environment, Jillybean offers alternatives to adopting a greener lifestyle, without having to compromise the ‘hip’ factor. Every manufacturer they work with creates products that are either organic, made with sustainable or recyclable materials, employ fair trade practices, or are recyclable, reusable and or/non-toxic. IVEE 'Ella' Top in Coral/Red $39
If you know me at all, then it’s no big secret that working out is not my most fave thing on the planet. Pilates? Love, but probably because the only thing missing from the reformer is an ashtray, it’s so relaxing. A brisk walk up the canyon (which isn’t a hike ladies, so stop calling it that)? I’m in, but even then mostly due to the fact that I have a 100 lb. Dane mix, leaving me with little choice. You have a better chance of finding me at REI on a Saturday afternoon than you do on an elliptical, but now that I’m Iveestylin’? It’s almost enough to make me want to treat the treadmill like a runway.
I’ve never featured workout clothes before, and have done quite the decent job of dodging your questions regarding them. This was of course pre-Ivee, who were generous enough to send me this modern and comfy ‘Ella’ top, that I kind of don’t want to take off. (You hear that FTC? They sent it to me. TO REVIEW.) The cut is super flattering, and although it fits snugly in the boobs – complete with removable pads – what I love is that it isn’t skin tight. (FYI I’m a 4/6 on top, and mine is a medium – I could have gone with a small for a smoother silhouette.) My other fave is the ‘Chloe’ top, which like her friend ‘Ella,’ is far more chic than the yawn of a tank top or sports bra (which – Hi! – should not be worn alone and called a ‘top’).

Let’s face it; we’re living in a wasteful time. I’m not going to get preachy, but given the opportunity I’ll certainly do my part where I can, since I’m a firm believer that every little bit helps. Although I exist in a world rife with dudes (and therefore the requisite dude duds), it doesn’t keep me from occasionally longing to dream up a tiny outfit that includes a dress or two; enter these shimmering ‘Black Tie’ leggings from Angela Frost’s ‘Flutter By’ collection, and boy (girl?) do I ever heart them!
The fall fashion season is lousy with sequins, and apparently not just for grown-ups. 'Stiruppz' $25 Per Set of Two
Tres Leches cake…..traffic…..people who are late…..bunchy jeans…..THINGSICANTSTAND!!!! Ding, ding, ding! Correct. I’ve always said that it’s the little things that make me the happiest, and hallelujah, Stiruppz are no exception. There’s nothing worse than wearing an outfit that you adore, only to have to continually bend over and re-tuck your jeans into your boots all night. Not to mention? It just looks plain sloppy when they’re all bunched up around your knees. Enter Stiruppz. Being that it is the season of the boot, the brainchild of Arlington, Virginia bartenders Jenn Crittenden and Lisa Church hasn’t arrived a moment too soon.
Since it was finally boot weather in L.A. this past weekend, I got to try them out for myself. It took me a few times to adjust my jeans to the proper length (but maybe because I’m a total spaz, since it’s not that deep), but once they were in place it was dreamy, and my jeans DID. NOT. MOVE. My Stiruppz created a smooth line, and more importantly were comfortable. (This being a huge deal for me, especially when I’m PMS-ing and want to rip any remotely uncomfortable item immediately off my person.)

Fall is in the air! Well, not here, but somehow my body is still attuned to that ‘now it’s September and school has started so bust out the cozy clothes’ schedule. Fortunately for us, so is Felix Rey.
