Steven 'Reins' Boots in Brown Distressed $142 (Originally $280)

So we all know that you can’t always get what you want, but other times you end up with something perfect that you didn’t even know you wanted! (What does that even mean??) On the top of my wish-list for fall, was a pair of boots, and I had a pretty clear idea of what I was looking for – or so I thought. As some of you may know, I’ve been coveting these gorge Fiorentini + Baker ‘Eternity’ Boots in Brown (to the tune of $525), for a stupid amount of time now. After a trip back east, I then moved on to the FRYE ‘Paige’ Cuff Boots in Slate, only to find that not only were they out of my size, they too were a whopping $398.

On a quick trip to Loehmann’s (shocking), I saw a random boot box last minute, and scooped it up thinking, ‘You never know…’ I. Was. Thrilled. Not only were these boots marked down to $99 (holla!) from $280? They fit, were comfy, and although they’re technically called ‘Brown,’ are this amazing ‘crackle’ of both brown and black – perf! Not to mention they have smooth, well-made, leather bottoms, for which I am a stickler. And yes – even though lug soles are the deal this season? We all have our quirks.
