Same deal versatility wise, however they probably won’t save you, and will last only several seasons in lieu of forever. This dress is incredible! Not to say that it has any to relevance to my day to day life whatsoever, but it is just simply breathtaking. (Covered in kid snot or not, I am still able to appreciate breathtaking.) The design is reminiscent of glamorous deco architecture, not to mention the other-worldly workmanship. To say that I covet it would be an understatement; it is unquestionably divine.

I think I’m loving the whole film noir look; It reminds me of those glamorous dresses all the dames wore in movies like ‘Double Indemnity.’ But in those days? With the holidays upon us once again, many of you have written asking about cocktail attire and dressier events. I chose these dresses not only because they’re beautiful, but also because the price is right. I love the first two for their current yet retro vibe; flapper-esque and deco to be sure, yet also quite contemporary. I like how they’ve been styled ‘down,’ with the addition of the tights and booties – it makes them a bit less precious. They could also be worn with heels and lace stockings for a more formal look.
I’ve recommended the BCBG dress here before, but am doing so again not only because of the price cut, but because it is one of my faves. Interesting that this color is on sale, yet the white version is not. Just goes to show that although it may look a bit summery, white and pastels are hot this season. I think it would be stunning for a more formal event with either grey, or a deep, rich, purple, pair of heels. Now all you need is someplace to go! (No wait – that’s all I need).
