Originally marked at $158, this little sweater is the perfect answer to those last minute holiday parties. It’s just festive enough while still being chic; teamed up with slim black pants and heels, it’s a no-brainer! (Also available in black, grey and gold – shorthand for the fancy J. Crew color names, of course).

It probably seems excessive that I’ve listed three photos of the same blazer, but I had to. I love the fabric and cut, but the thing that sets this jacket apart are the colors. With brights (including neon – oh yeah, get ready) being a much sought-after look for not only fall, but also resort and spring ’09, this is the perfect piece. It actually comes in eight colors, but I chose the three most bold. At $168 it isn’t cheap, but not crazy for a decent blazer either. I also factor in that it can be either dressed up or down, not to metion it’s elegant styling, allowing you to wear it for a long time to come.

Love this sweater! It could so easily be dressed up or down, and I’m digging the little silk-chiffon frill; a fresh and feminine take on a classic, 1950′s, ‘Marilyn’ look. Now if it would just dip below a hundred degrees here, I could wear it.
