It was bound to happen; I had my iPhone on the car seat between my knees – on top of my dress – and stepped out of the car willy-nilly like a thousand times before…SLAM!!! “What was that, Mommy?!” That, my love, was the sound of my pristine, ever-so-well-cared-for iPhone hitting the asphalt in the parking lot of In-n-Out burger.

Clearly I’m not the first person to ever drop their iPhone, but I just might lead the pack with my irrational block about purchasing a cover for it. That worked out well. I had no interest in one of those weird rubber things that goes around the edge, but when I came across this cute, stripe-y, slightly retro model, I loosened up. Would I have paid it’s original price of forty dollars? Probably not, but it’s amazing how much cuter things become when they’re fifty percent off. Now I’m just holding out that I’ll exhibit a modicum of dexterity next time. If not? I hope those weird rubber things come in cute colors.
