Worn almost as a chic badge of honor, thanks to Valentino and Sonia Rykiel, roses are a HUGE trend in fashion, appearing on both clothing and accessories alike. Having become less camp and more luxe over the years, it’s high time to find the perfect oversized rose for you. From roses that fall in soft knit layers to stiffer petals, and even the more more ostentatious varieties found in leather iterations on a bag, there are all kinds to suit your fancy. Trouvé One Pocket Boyfriend Tee in Black $15.90
Overlooking the fact that she is in desperate need of a sandwich therefore making this ‘it really is super cute’ top look weird? It really is super cute. I recently picked up a couple at Loehmann’s (in black and white) under the name ‘Eight Sixty,’ but it’s the exact same shirt. For so long I found myself looking for a comfy top (one that didn’t belong to J) to throw on with jeans; Not a fitted tee, not a button down, and not a sweater, rather something that would look kind of cool without trying too hard. Not only are these super soft cotton, even though they’re slouchy they’re still sized to fit, so it doesn’t appear that you’re lost in your boyfriend’s (husband’s) boxy t-shirt. Surprisingly flattering, it’s a great casual-chic look (whatever the hell that is) for night, teamed up with jeans, heels, and a great necklace. Originally marked at twenty eight bucks, it also comes in gray and purple.

Newport News Smocked Chiffon Blouse $24
Once again, super weird photo – maybe not so much with the black chiffon on a white background, but you get the idea. Marked down from thirty-nine dollars, this would be so pretty over a camisole, with slouchy pants (or jeans) and a leather jacket. As always, I like the mixture of tough and feminine, but it would look equally cute on it’s own. I don’t recommend wearing only a bra underneath (a bit Contempo Casuals ’91 for me), unless of course that’s your thing. In that case, go for it.
